 The Covington 5045HG Variable speed grinder is built from the bottom up with the glass artist in mind. Taken from requests and advice from glass artists, the 5045HG features a variable speed motor that runs from 200-1,100RPM, a through-the-shaft water feed that allows water to come up through the middle spindle onto the disk in addition to an external Loc-Line water supply for complete versatility.

The entire 1HP motor and speed control is washdown ready so you can completely spray off the machine to clean it without any worries of water contamination. The water fed shaft accommodates a 5/8-11 male threading for the addition of items such as the brass 1 inch centering pin or the 5/8-11 male to male adaptor that allows the use of other equipment on the grinder like our Diamond smoothing cones for working the interior lips of blown vessels.

The 12 inch wheel head is powder coat painting to resist rusting yet won't interfere with the magnetic diamond disk. The edge of the plate has a small chamfer to allow easy removal of diamond disks between grits.
