My 513EX cerium isn't staying in suspension, is it defective?

The short answer, no.

The long answer: The 513EX is suspension treated, but it requires you to keep it in suspension by periodically shaking the container that you have the cerium in. The 513EX is a lower cost cerium oxide so it will re-settle in the water if left for longer periods.

If you need a cerium that stays in suspension longer with shaking the mixture, we suggest the Ceri-tec cerium oxide
