3M's 272LA Trizact material is an embedded aluminum oxide grit in pyramid shapes on the surface of the belt. The belts give a very fine surface appearance on the glass that is a great prepatory step before polishing or fire polishing your glass. The 272LA belts are a thinner backed belt that requires a little extra pressure to grind. Be aware that the 272LA material does generate a lot of heat on your glass so take frequent breaks to prevent thermal shock on your glass while grinding.
