HXTAL NYL-1 is a museum quality epoxy adhesive for laminating, bonding, and repairing glass. It is a water white (optically clear) adhesive with the same index of refraction as borosilicate glass. HXTAL is extremely versatile and can be thinned down for use as a clear coat or allowed to thicken in order to mold into missing parts of glass. With a long history and excellent track record it is one of the best adhesives for bonding glass to glass and glass to other mediums. The 1.3 ounce kit contains 1 ounce of Part A and 0.33 ounce of Part B in convenient glass pipet bottles for easy mixing of smaller amounts.

Please be aware that Part B of HXTAL is considered a Dangerous Good and must ship via DG shipping.

Customer Questions
Is there a good release agent for HXTL? Vaseline?
I haven't used Vasoline before but it should probably work. I have used standard mold release spray before and it has worked well as a release for HXTAL.
Approximately how many square inches of surface area of glass will a 1.3 ounce kit bond together?
Roughly a 6 inch x 6 inch area. The smaller kits are meant more for small jobs like jewelry work and crack repair.
Hello, can you bond heat-treated glass
Yes, you can certainly bond tempered glass.
What is the shelf life of unopened bottles?
HXTAL doesn't really have a shelf life. We've had customers using the same batch for over 8 years.
Can I use this on the edge of functional bowls - to seal those minute holes you can get doing drop vessels. These will serve as soup bowls, I would just fill the pin holes on the edge from cutting off the rim.
HXTAL has not been tested or approved by the FDA for food safety so we can't recommend it for this type of purpose. It will seal the holes nicely, but it cannot be sold as food safe.
