Setting Up a Husqvarna MS360 14-Inch Wet Saw

A Wet Saw is a Wet Saw...

True, pretty much any decent wet saw will cut your glass. The more important part will always be the diamond blade and choosing the correct blade for the type of work you are doing.

That being said, it's essential to also work with quality equipment that will hold up over time and perform well for you in your coldshop. Husqvarna makes some of the best wet saws for build quality, design, and support. The MS360 Wet Saw is available in a number of horsepower and voltage requirements and is built from the ground up to keep you cutting and working for larger projects.

Easy to set up and transport, the MS360 wet saw has numerous features that make cutting your glass super simple, from a separate water basin for the submersible pump to an easy adjustable blade head that can be both raised and lowered and tilted for angle cuts directly on the slide tray.

Medium Cut Blades Are Great All-Around

A good medium-cut blade is the best choice for all-around cutting when cutting various types of glass, from thick to thin. These blades will go through the glass fairly quickly and still leave minimal edge chipping.

Our favorite medium-cut blade is the Result Diamond blade. It offers a long life, quick cutting, and minimal edge chipping from thick or thin glass.

As with any sintered diamond saw blade, once the blade starts slowing down or sparking, you just cut through a thin slice of a dressing stick, and it will be like a brand new blade on your saw again.

Fine Cut Blades are Best for Thinner Work

While fine-grit diamond blades leave an excellent cut and virtually no chips on your edges, they are limited in the scale of what they can can. The thicker the glass gets, the slower these blades perform and the more they will wear out.

We typically only recommend using a fine-grit diamond blade on pieces that are no thicker than 3/4-inch. If you have glass thicker than this, you'll want to move to a medium-grit blade.

Fine-grit diamond blades will need to be dressed more often with a dressing stick as well as the diamonds will wear faster. We have several different fine-grit diamond blades that work differently on the glass

The Husqvarna Superlok Glass+ blades are the best all-around fine-grit blade for thinner glass. They cut quickly, last a long time and give an excellent cut edge.
