6 Inch x 1-1/2 Inch Expanding Drum
Expanding drums are a rubber drum with angled slots cut into the surrounding rubber of the wheel. When these drums are used on a lathe shaft and spun at 1725RPM or greater, the slots expand out and increase the diameter of the drum. Belts that are placed onto the drum lock into place on the expanded rubber and give a soft backing for grinding and polishing your glass without the need for a dedicated wet belt sander.
