Our whiting is a fine powder that is not abrasive at all towards the glass, but is used with water as a cleaning agent to prepare glass surfaces for bonding with epoxies. Used by hand with water to form a cleaning slurry, whiting will remove any surface contaminants from your glass quickly and easily.

do you just rinse it off with water tap or distilled and wipe dry
You wash the Whiting off the surface after scrubbing. Distilled water is excellent as it won't leave any residue behind on the glass surface, but I've had success with using just plain tap water for decades now.
