Our Resin Diamond Smoothing Cones are a 60 degree included angle cone used for creating slight bevels or pre-polishing larger bevels from electroplated diamond cones on inside lips of open ended glass vessels. Cones are avaiable in multiple mounting and threading options. Please select which mounting method when ordering.

I have an 18" covington lap grinder. What is the shaft and threading I need to order for that? Also, what else do I need to purchase to use the cone with the grinder?
For the Covington grinders, you'll need a male-to-male adaptor for the center listed here. The threading for the cone or dome should be 5/8-11 Right Hand Thread.

What would be the smallest diameter opening would you recommend using this on ?
The resin cones work best if you can move up and down the cone to prevent cutting a "channel" into the resin. If your opening is too small you won't be able to move up and down the cone enough to prevent this from happening. I would recommend nothing...
