What is the difference between the Mega Blade and the Speed Blade, both in design and in application?

If you imagine a tear-drop shape, then the Mega Blade has the wide part of the tear-drop at the leading edge of the blade so it cuts through thicker material more easily.

The speed blade has the point of the tear-drop shape as the leading edge of the blade so it cuts through material very quickly. They both remove the same amount of material from the cut, but one is meant for thicker material and one is meant for cutting thinner material faster.

We highly recommend the Flocked belt for both blade types. Ths speed blade comes with the flocked belt, but we recommend it for the Mega Blade as well.
